Krom River Hike

The Krom River Hike is one of the most scenic hiking trails in the Limietberg Nature Reserve. There are several opportunities to swim in river pools in the shade of indigenous riverine vegetation, and the surroundings is spectacular. There are a couple sets of pools, 'first pools' are not far into the hike and the second set of pools lie at the base of the ascent to the waterfall. But before you reach them, you pass through a wonderful area of indigenous forest. A climb up to the falls is optional and those who don't enjoy chain ladders or are merely content to enjoy a picnic lunch whilst waiting for others to enjoy the ascent, may rest. This is a circular route and ends at the start of the trail.
